We need to get all the other countries, EU, Great Britain, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand & anyone else I may have missed, and put a 100% Tariff on all imported goods from the USA.
It would take about 2 weeks and there would be 40 million unemployed Americans, who rely directly on exports for their jobs.
Before that were to happen I'd want to see detachments from each one of those countries' militaries stationed near our border, major cities, and/or key resource sites, and have a formal NATO declaration that other alliance members would commit to declaring war the second our borders were moved on.
I'm confused? How does putting 100% Tariffs on the US by dozens of countries need to have NATO involved?
The second whose borders are breached NATO would need to declare war? Do you mean the Canadian border? Are you Canadian?

It involves NATO because Trump is aching for any excuse to invade us for "security" reasons, which could be just about anything at this point. And I do not believe that ANY so-called ally will lift a finger to help us, perhaps even if they are also directly threatened.
Elbows Up is fine as far as it goes, but if the Americans want to erase every city in the country before breakfast tomorrow, they can do it and be home in time for lunch.
Perhaps, but I think if the Americans were to do that they would find out that 911 was a cakewalk. there are a lot of Canadians who are very highly trained.
@Mor696 @davidaugust yes, that is very true. I am confident our military would do what they could, and that there would be armed resistance in many areas. It would be terrible. All these things are.
We also need to comprehend the immensity of American military might. This is not Russia. This is a military that dwarfs all militaries in human history combined.
I'm just saying if we choose a "nuclear option", we had better not do it lightly. We're juggling dynamite with this lunatic.
