Miguel Afonso Caetano<p>"Say what you want about Trump, but he’s known to speak in simple and plain language. Does this make him dumb? I would counter that it makes him accessible.</p><p>Does this mean that Sanders and AOC should stop talking about oligarchy? Among their college-educated base, I see no reason why it’s a particularly bad idea. They understand the language and it resonates with them.</p><p>There’s also some polling out there from a progressive polling firm showing that most Americans can identify the definition of oligarchy when presented with a multiple-choice question. This isn’t the best polling design in the world, but it’s possible that Sanders and AOC have had some luck in popularizing the term.</p><p>But Democrats and progressives need to stop thinking that everyone in America has a college degree and follows every bit of minutiae in the news. They speak more like ordinary people than Democrats do.</p><p>It’s not dumb to not understand every word in the English dictionary. Weltschmerz à Gogo<p>A good analysis of the jump in right-wing tech bro support for Trump and the fault lines that exist between the neoreactionary and MAGA movements.</p><p>===</p><p>But despite its impact on the current Trump regime, neoreactionary politics is not MAGA politics, as the tagline to James Pogue’s 2022 Vanity Fair article noted. The key reason is that neoreaction is not populist. The movement to Make America Great Again, Trump’s political base, is a classic example of right-wing populism, i.e., a movement that combines calls to intensify oppression with twisted forms of anti-elitism. MAGA politics is about defending privilege and attacking those who are seen as threatening it from below, but it also feeds on people’s sense of disempowerment, of being beaten down by a few people on top, a belief that those in power have betrayed “we the people” and must be stripped of their positions.</p><p>Neoreactionaries, by contrast, believe firmly that elites should rule and “the people” (Nick Land’s “howling irrational mob”) should not. Since Trump first entered the 2016 presidential race, MAGA aimed to mobilize a mass movement to overturn the political establishment, liberal and conservative alike. This initiative included not just electoral campaigns but also broad-based organizing and physical protests that culminated in the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol in hopes of overturning the 2020 election results by force. But neoreactionaries dismiss the whole idea of a popular uprising. As Yarvin wrote in June 2024, “Charlottesville [the 2017 Unite the Right rally] and January 6 were the last lame breaths of what John Adams called ‘mobocracy’ in America.” What Yarvin envisioned wasn’t a popular uprising, but rather to “hack” the system in order to break it.</p><p><a href="https://threewayfight.org/the-doge-and-the-neoreactionaries/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">threewayfight.org/the-doge-and</span><span class="invisible">-the-neoreactionaries/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fascism</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/MAGA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MAGA</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/USPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USPol</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Musk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Musk</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Thiel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Thiel</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/Yarvin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Yarvin</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/NRx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NRx</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/neoreactionary" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neoreactionary</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://kolektiva.social/tags/populism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>populism</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>So, to finally end this infinite rant, Scher's words aren't really news, just a more open elitist position that now, in line with the current political winds, doesn't have to hide behind performative politically correct language. The power of design is now finally demonstrating its true face: design for the powerful.</p><p>As usual, apologies for the typos. </p><p>Here the original article <a href="https://www.creativebloq.com/design/ive-never-seen-anything-like-this-before-paula-scher-on-the-backlash-to-pentagrams-ai-government-website-design" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">creativebloq.com/design/ive-ne</span><span class="invisible">ver-seen-anything-like-this-before-paula-scher-on-the-backlash-to-pentagrams-ai-government-website-design</span></a></p><p>/eof</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <br><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>So, unless you are illustrating the whole Divine Comedy (Botticelli did it with 92 illustrations, btw), tell me, why would I need 1500 illustrations for? Adv is too short lived to make use of it, and if you are expecting that people will browse all of them either online or on an expensive 1500 pages of AI generated illustrations book, than Scher also demonstrate that has no idea on how information and human work. </p><p>17/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>an illustration is generally a combination of many layers of information, the more complex the composition, the more detailed the drawing, the more time is needed by the observer to absorb it all. That's why it so often happens that when you look at an illustration for a second or a third time, you notice details that you missed in the first one. That's also why e.g. very messy comic panels or doodles feel overwhelming (on purpose).</p><p>16/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>As we've seen in the beginning of this thread, illustrations are specific representation. Contrary to fine art, illustrations are there to tell a story, to literally, cast a light on something: </p><p><a href="https://www.etymonline.com/word/illustration" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">etymonline.com/word/illustrati</span><span class="invisible">on</span></a></p><p>"1500 illustration in the same style" are pointless: </p><p>15/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>Which brings me to the last point "1500 illustrations in that style". Scher here speaks the same language of Big Tech when they boast about 'Big Data', which, as <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mamot.fr/@pluralistic" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>pluralistic</span></a></span> just recently reminded us, was the precursor of "AI":</p><p><a href="https://pluralistic.net/2025/02/17/caliper-ai/#racism-machine" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">pluralistic.net/2025/02/17/cal</span><span class="invisible">iper-ai/#racism-machine</span></a></p><p>1500 illustrations in the same style means nothing: it's a hype, it's making it looking grandiose, it's signalling a scale that is absolutely unnecessary</p><p>14/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>While you are upskilling and taking on a load of work of a team (without the money to hire one) to end up with the classic 'make the logo bigger', the clients that could actually pay decently and really value those skills - the "capital 'D' design" - go to Big Design like Pentagram. <br>Does it look familiar? It's neoliberal monopolistic capitalism over and over again. </p><p>13/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>They will select you based on your IG account, where they expect animated logos and typefaces, viral reels, stunning mockups, video concept brand presentations, and yes, illustrations too. If you felt you started as a graphic designer to end up being a coder, a videomaker, an animator, a character designer, an illustrator, and a copywriter, you are right: thanks to Big Design, that's what's expected from you</p><p>12/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>With dramatic repercussions to all that workforce that doesn't have Pentagram's means. As it happened for architecture, where now even the old lady asking you to refurbish her bedroom wants a shiny render, now the small entrepreneur that hires you for their logo expects Instagram reels and interactive heavily animated web experiences. </p><p>11/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>Their portfolio are super well crafted presentations were a logo becomes more than a graphic symbol: it's an animation, an illustration, a original full typeface, an icon font, a website, a concept, and what not. They are the results of a (probably underpaid) team of diverse specialists that they can hire. They are public and thanks to the hype created by design magazines, they are elevated as the examples of 'good design'</p><p>10/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>Maybe you don't give a damn about illustrators, but you might be interested in knowing that the "best word designer" consider you, and your job, inferior. To analyse the implication of this, we should first look at what agencies like Pentagram are: the equivalent of big architecture firm and giant tech companies. They are monopolistic entities that suck up oxygen while setting impossible industry standards for all smaller businesses</p><p>9/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>Alphonse Mucha posters, e.g., in the world of Scher are merely 'illustration', a lowercase 'd' design. And this is just limiting to one western case, let's not even enter in what her attitude implies for indigenous design practices. </p><p>Let's move on to the second point, the "capital 'D' design job</p><p>8/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>What is undeniable, however, is that design is a child of illustration and craft, someone could say, it's illustration and craft adapted to industrialisation. To have one of the most prominent designers, head of probably the biggest and higher paid design agency in the world downgrading 'illustration' as a sort lower job is insulting, not just for illustrators and artists, but for the story of design itself: </p><p>7/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>Is then illustration a lesser job than graphic design, as craft is considered a humble and less prestigious job than product design? <br>NO, and if you think so, you are an elitist narcissist. They are just different jobs, each with its own challenges, with its own benefits, and its own drawbacks</p><p>6/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>This difference somehow holds also when comparing graphic design to illustration: while the first use graphic elements to as more ubiquitous as possible, perfectly recognisable (hence the essentialist evolution of visual design language, reduced to ever simpler shapes), illustration is generally unique: each illustration is specifically representing something, explicitly or implicitly, reflecting cultures and styles. </p><p>5/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>Of course craftspeople also draw and plan what they do, but as part of the value of the craft object stems from its 'uniqueness', blueprints and technical sheets are less important. Instead, design objects derive their value in the possibility to be mass manufactured (even the ones branded as limited editions). </p><p>4/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
Alx 🐈<p>but in the use, in design, of blueprints: the reproducibility of design objects relies on the technical drawings, contrary to craft approaches that tends to directly manipulate materials and build their skills with an 'hands on' approach instead that advance planning. </p><p>3/</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/design" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>design</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/pentagram" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pentagram</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/elitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>elitism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.design/tags/illustration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>illustration</span></a></p>
