#SCOTUS ruled that the #Trump admin may start enforcing a #ban on #transgender troops serving in the #military that had been blocked by lower courts.
The ruling was brief, unsigned & gave no reasons, which is typical when the justices act on emergency applications. It will remain in place while challenges to the ban move forward.

The court’s 3 liberal members—Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan & Ketanji Brown Jackson—dissented but provided no reasoning.

Transphobia is a form of that is focused exclusively on trans people. Yes, cis women can suffer as a result of transphobia, but they are not the primary targets. Again, look at what Joanne Rowling and Graham Linehan say when talking about these issues. All of their statements are full of vitriol of the worst kind.

The #Trump admin today, May 1, asked #SCOTUS to allow it to strip temporary protected status [#TPS] from >300,000 #Venezuelan migrants, a move that would clear the way for their #deportation. The #DOJ asked the justices to put on hold US District Judge Edward Chen's order that halted #DHS Secy #KristiNoem's decision to terminate the temporary #legal status that previously was granted to some #Venezuelans by President Joe #Biden's admin.

and my #mentalhealth issues of #Depression and #anxiety put me into close contact with so many marginalized people.

I'm a cishet male. I'm mixed white and Asian. I fight for #IndigenousRights #BIPOC #LGBTQ #Immigrants #Minorities and that puts me in direct odds against #racism #Bigotry #xenophobia #homophobia #Transphobia #Fascists #Nazis and in turn, #Religion

Why would anyone assume that farm workers and day laborers are all darker complected?

When even those on the side if justice make those subconscious, or maybe conscious, assumptions we are in worse trouble than I thought.

The #antisemitism report was produced by a task force made up mainly of faculty, but that also included students, a former Hillel director & Harvard’s chief community & campus life officer, whose title was changed from chief diversity & inclusion officer on Tues. The report said that bias incidents had been occurring BEFORE the #Hamas attack & were intensified by the #war in #Gaza.

The findings, conveyed in densely packed reports that are hundreds of pages long, come at a delicate time for the #university. #Harvard is being scrutinized by the #Trump admin over accusations of #antisemitism, & is fighting the admin’s withdrawal of billions of dollars in federal #funding.

"A rainbow flag is not a political statement," said an AVROTROS representative. "But the EBU wants to draw a clear line, and that is their reasoning for the decision."

Let me translate that from corporate to laymen terms: "We're bigots, but scared of how that'll affect our bottom-line when broadcasting a historically queer/gay dominated show"
